Dallas Woods
Dallas Wood’s expertise
Dallas has over 30 years’ experience administering trusts and estates and drafting wills and enduring powers of attorney. She was trained in the Public Trust and completed her degree while working in branches throughout New Zealand. She then opened and ran her own busy law practice in the Manawatu for some years before shifting to Nelson with her husband. This fulfilled a long-held desire to return to the South Island. As a result of her experience, Dallas has a wide understanding of most aspects of property law including relationship law that she brings to her estate work.
Dallas has built a reputation for the efficient and empathetic nature in which she carries out her work. She makes a point of understanding clients’ individual circumstances and the help they are seeking. This ensures she provides legal documents which deliver what they should. Many clients have instructed Pitt & Moore to handle their personal matters as a result of seeing how other family members’ estates and wills have been administered. This, to Dallas, is the biggest compliment of the work the team does.
Favourite tip about Nelson
Having recently returned to the South Island after 30 years in the North Dallas is relishing being back in one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand. She particularly enjoys walking on the Tahunanui back beach with her dog after work.
