Rob Lane's expertise

Rob’s experience advising clients on commercial and business law, tax law, employment law and property law matters means he considers the impact of legal issues across the whole of their businesses. Rob’s clients appreciate his ability to understand more than just the legal issues – he knows the economics of business and has accounting qualifications to support this understanding. This means he brings a greater focus to the things that matter, and is less concerned about the things that don’t.

Rob has an ‘advisory’ style which his clients enjoy. He is known for taking a real interest in their businesses, and for providing them with advice that stands the test of time, and that delivers results. His clients describe him as discreet, intelligent, focussed and easy to work with. Rob’s background as a lecturer and tutor means he is able to explain complex issues in a simple way, keeping clients focussed on the important issues.

Favourite tip about the region

Rob has a keen interest in music and enjoys a number of hobbies on his land in Upper Moutere. Transport comes in many forms including horses, trail bikes and Lotus sports cars. At a more sedate pace Rob is also a keen fisherman, though he is reticent to talk about his success of landing the 'big one'. If he had to give one tip for the region it would be to go for an early morning horse ride on a tranquil Rabbit Island beach.
