The origins of the firm began 155 years ago. The name “Pitt & Moore” is believed to be one the oldest unchanged legal brand names in New Zealand.

Graham Allan retires from Pitt & Moore

After 46 years of practicing law in Nelson, Graham Allan is retiring from Pitt & Moore. Graham’s vast knowledge, warmth and positive outlook set the tone for the firm.

Graham will retire from the Partnership on 29 March 2019.

The Partners and staff of Pitt & Moore would like to thank Graham for his many years of loyalty and hard work.  He has left a lasting imprint on the fabric of the firm as well as on the legal profession. We wish Graham all the best in his retirement.

Meet our new Partners

The Partners at Pitt & Moore are delighted to announce the promotion of two new Partners effective from 1 April 2019. We congratulate and welcome Clare North and Nick Mason to the partnership. They are both outstanding professionals trusted by clients to provide high quality, reliable and technically excellent advice.

Clare North

Clare specialises in property and commercial law. Clare’s areas of expertise include property development, commercial leasing, commercial contracts, financing, residential, rural and commercial land transactions.

In addition to her property and commercial work, Clare provides succession and trust advice to families, individuals and businesses.

Nick Mason

Nick specialises in employment and immigration law. He works with employers and employees across a variety of sectors, including hospitality, horticulture, viticulture, transport, manufacturing and fisheries.

Nick provides immigration advice on how to bring talent to New Zealand to international and major New Zealand corporations as well as to small and medium sized organisations. He gives strategic advice to employers on migrant labour retention.

Nick also regularly assists individuals and their families with their immigration requirements. Nick has industry sector experience in government and employment relations advisory.
