Nelson born and bred, Jennifer is a respected and well known legal executive. With over 30 years’ experience she specialises in residential conveyancing. She has helped hundreds of people into their homes over the years.
Jennifer has been with Pitt & Moore’s Richmond team since 2013. She has seen huge changes in the due diligence processes when purchasing or selling property. In days past, buying and selling was a relatively simple affair but today, it has become quite complex with much need for thorough investigation and sound advice.
Today, the ramifications for getting it wrong are costly. Jennifer prides herself on being thorough, approachable and her extensive local knowledge adds value to her clients’ in their investigations.
Many of her clients’ appreciate her experience and knowledge and continue to use her even when they have moved from the district.
Jennifer’s primary practice consists of residential conveyancing sales and purchases as well as refinancing matters.
Jennifer finds a lot of people think only of funding the purchase and can overlook the need to investigate things such as unauthorised works, exposure to natural hazards such as subsidence, flooding and earthquakes. There can also be contaminated land issues, toxicology issues, encroachments over boundaries and all manner of problems revealed in pre-purchase building reports.
Jennifer encourages her clients’ to “turn as many stones” as they can when buying or selling to avoid any hidden surprises. She also places huge value on knowing that there will be no unexpected delays on resale.Read More about this Practice Area
