Key responsibilities:

  • Information Systems Management: Maintain firm hardware and software and assist with any changes introduced. Recommend service, software or hardware upgrades as needed to ensure staff can meet their clients’ needs.
  • User/Staff Support: Develop and deliver staff training, provide in-house support for Microsoft Office and software issues and assist with secure data conversion and migration. Oversee JIRA/IT helpdesk tickets raised with the provider. 
  • Supplier Management:  Manage external IT, Practice Management System and website provider relationships and, with the support from the Partners, negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services. 
  • Security, Compliance and Risk: Manage new user setup, access controls, user licenses, and logins for online services. Ensure cyber security measures are implemented and maintained. 
  • Reporting: Report to Partners on information system performance, including cyber security metrics, and on staff financial performance and time recording. Provide firm metrics and benchmark data. 

Successful applicants will:

  • Have experience in information systems management. Experience in legal operations or a related role within a law firm is a bonus. 
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and administration, including Teams. 
  • Have project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and be able to report on results. 
  • Be detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. 
  • Take responsibility and ownership of tasks. 
  • Deliver communications to staff in a timely and clear manner, and have good interpersonal skills. 
  • Be able to work quickly under pressure and think outside the box. 
  • Keep abreast of IT developments and news. 
  • Be comfortable suggesting improvements to systems for better performance and providing new ideas. 
  • Uphold the highest standards of professional integrity, ethics, and client confidentiality.
