Resident Visa holder, who provided false information to INZ, allowed to stay in New Zealand

Patrick*, a Resident Visa holder provided false information to Immigration New Zealand in his application for residency. He lives with his wife and family in New Zealand.

This information came to light after the Resident Visa was granted. As a result, Patrick received a letter from Immigration New Zealand telling him that because he provided false information on his application, he was likely to be deported.

Our immigration team built a case to appeal the Deportation Liability Notice. The family’s circumstances, Patrick’s work and employment history, and other aspects, all supported his appeal to stay in New Zealand with his family.

The result of the appeal was that Patrick was allowed to stay in New Zealand.
