Clare is a Partner in Pitt & Moore’s commercial property team and has extensive experience in property development, the acquisition and disposal of rural and commercial property and commercial leasing. In addition, Clare provides succession and trust advice to families, individuals and businesses.

Clare works hard for her clients to ensure that she is accessible, responsive and provides thorough, robust, pragmatic advice. She has a particular interest in rural property and has led a number of significant transactions for the firm in recent years.

Commercial Property, Development & Leasing

Clare works with some of the region’s most significant property owners and developers. Clare provides assistance with property sales and purchases, due diligence enquiries, property development and subdivisions. Clare also has unit title development experience and provides governance advice to body corporates.

A detail person, Clare provides thorough, timely and pragmatic advice to land owners, developers and investors.

Clare has experience in all aspects of commercial leasing including the negotiation, preparation and interpretation of retail, rural, industrial and land only leases.

In addition to Clare’s leasing practice, Clare works regularly with a number of the region’s businesses and individuals and provides assistance with sales and purchases, financing, due diligence enquiries, franchising, commercial contracts and intellectual property.

Intellectual Property

As part of Clare’s commercial practice, Clare is able to provide assistance with Trade Mark applications, licencing arrangements and confidentiality agreements.

Trusts and Inheritance Planning

Pitt & Moore’s commercial and private client’s value Clare’s knowledge and experience of inheritance planning and trust law. Clare has a particular interest in trust law and with an estimated 300,000 – 500,000 in New Zealand, trusts are a common feature of property and commercial transactions.

Clare provides advice in respect of complex structuring arrangements, the establishment and disestablishment of trusts and trust administration. She has a particular interest in providing succession planning advice to Pitt & Moore’s rural and agribusiness clients.

Agribusiness & Rural

Clare has significant agribusiness and rural property experience and provides advice to Pitt & Moore’s clients with farming, vineyard and forestry interests. Clare has a particular interest in the acquisition and disposal of forest land, the Emissions Trading Scheme and the creation of forestry rights.
