Taryn is originally from Nelson and has recently returned home after spending a number of years overseas.

Taryn started her legal career working for a large New Zealand commercial law firm in their oil and gas team before moving in-house to the former Ministry of Fisheries. She then headed to Germany where she studied the German language and qualified as a language and cultural studies teacher.

Taryn then went on to complete a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property (with an award of Distinction) through Edinburgh University. Her dissertation paper was subsequently awarded third prize in the student category of the European Communities Trademark Association Award competition.

Upon her return to New Zealand, she worked for the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand in their Hearings Team before taking time out to raise her young family. She is delighted to have now joined Pitt & Moore and looks forward to assisting you with your Property, Commercial and Intellectual Property matters.
