In this informative after-work session, Pitt & Moore Consultant Marty Logan and Associate Heather Collins will cover:

  • The Employment Relations Amendment Bill

  • Proposed changes to the Holidays Act

  • Proposed changes to without prejudice discussions – (Employment Relations Termination of Employment by Agreement Amendment Bill)

  • Upcoming changes to the pay secrecy law (Employment Relations Employee Remuneration Disclosure Amendment Bill). This passed the third reading and will come into force in the next few weeks.

  • New obligations on employers regarding employment agreements (Regulatory Systems (Immigration and Workforce) Amendment Act)

  • Introduction of a criminal offence for withholding payment to an employee

  • Recent case roundup, with a focus on recent decisions of interest for employers

Heather Collins

With over 15 years’ experience in employment law Heather has an extensive background in this field, and regularly assists both corporate and individual clients with a broad variety of  workplace matters.  She also specialises in immigration law, making her well placed to assist employer and individual clients with combined immigration and employment issues.

Marty Logan

With more than 25 years’ experience in dispute resolution/litigation, Marty has appeared in a wide range of Courts and Tribunals up to solo appearances in the Court of Appeal. He is an accomplished negotiator and an excellent litigator who offers practical advice.
